2018 SDGA Junior District Championship

Host: Drumlins Golf Club (East/West)

Dates: July 16-18

Entry Fee: $50

Deadline: Tuesday, July 10th at 5:00pm

 

Eligibility: Age

Open to junior amateur golfers (male or female) under the age of 19 as of July 18, 2018.

 

Eligibility: Residency

Players (male or female) must reside in on one of the following counties: Onondaga, Cortland, Cayuga, Madison, Oswego, Oneida, Seneca, Tompkins, and Wayne County east of Route 14.

 

Entry Deadline
All entries must be received by the SDGA by 5:00pm on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. Entry forms will not be accepted if they are late, incomplete, faxed, emailed, or sent without full payment.

 

Rules

The USGA's Rules of Golf and any Local Rules/Conditions of Competition adopted by the SDGA will govern play.

 

Format and Divisions

This is a match play championship, utilizing a 18 hole stroke play qualifier to determine the match play brackets. Players will compete within one of following divisions:

 

Boys' Junior Division (ages 15-18*)

Top-16 players from qualifying advance to match play

 

Boys' Sub-Junior Division (ages 14 and under*)

Top-8 players from qualifying advance to match play

 

Girls' Junior Division (ages 18 and under*)

Top-16 players from qualifying advance to match play

 

*Age calculated as of July 18, 2018

 

Any player not qualifying for the championship brackets will be placed in flight brackets to compete for prizes.

Monday, July 16 // Qualifying Round // 8:00am Tee Time Start - West Course
Tuesday, July 17 //  Match Play Rounds // 8:00am and 12:30pm Tee Time Starts - West Course
Wednesday, July 18 // Match Play Rounds //  8:00am (all players) and 12:30pm (Juniors Only) Tee Time Starts - East Course

 

Caddies

The use of caddies is permitted. Caddies must be under 21 years old and may not be related to the player.
