2018 SDGA District Amateur Championship
Host: Timber Banks Golf and Marina
Dates: August 2-5, 2018
Entry Fee: $60 Qualifying Fee, $25 Championship Fee
Deadline: Friday, July 27th at 5:00pm
Eligibility: Membership
Entry is limited to male amateur golfers who (1) have full playing privileges at an SDGA Member Club or (2) are 2018 SDGA Associate Members ($100 membership fee). For a complete list of SDGA member clubs and the 2018 SDGA Associate Membership application, please visit syracusegolf.org/membership.
Eligibility: Age and Handicap Index
Entrants must be 14 years old as of August 3, 2018 and have a USGA Handicap Index of no greater than 8.4 issued by their golf club.
Entry Deadline
All entries must be received by the SDGA by 5:00pm on Friday, July 27, 2018. Entries will not be accepted if they are late, incomplete, faxed, emailed, or sent without full payment.
Rules
The USGA's Rules of Golf and any Local Rules/Conditions of Competition adopted by the SDGA will govern play.
Format and Cut Information
This is a match play championship, utilizing a 18 hole stroke play qualifier to determine the match play brackets. The top-47 players and the 2017 champion will advance to match play, with the top-16 players earning a first-round bye. The USGA's method of matching scorecards will be used to break ties for the last qualifying spot(s).
Note: Matches will be paired to play in groups of four for all rounds except the final match.

Meal Included
Lunch is included for all players on Thursday (qualifying round). A lunch ticket will be provided, with a choice of the following: burger or two hot dogs or a grilled chicken sandwich, with a bag of chips and a non-alcoholic drink.
Range
Complimentary for the qualifying round. The fee is $5/token/30 balls on match play days.
Golf Carts
The use of golf carts has been approved. $15/player/day
