2018 SDGA Senior Best-Ball Championship
Host: Seven Oaks Golf Club

Dates: August 26 – 27, 2018

Entry Fee: $150 per Team

Deadline: Monday, August 20th at 5:00pm
 

Eligibility: SDGA Membership

Entry is limited to teams consisting of two male amateur golfers who (1) have full playing privileges at an SDGA Member Club or (2) are 2018 SDGA Associate Members ($100 membership fee). Eligibility: Age

Entrants must be at least 55 years old as of August 26, 2018.

Entry Deadline: All entries must be recieved by the SDGA by 5:00pm on Monday, August 20, 2018. Entries will not be accepted if they are late, incomplete, faxed, emailed, or sent without full payment. 

 

Field Size (38 Teams)

The field has been limited to the first 38 teams to register. Additional players will be added to a waitlist in order by time of entry.

 

Rules

The USGA's Rules of Golf and any Local Rules/Conditions of Competition adopted by the SDGA will govern play.

 

Format

This championship's format is 36 holes of best-ball stroke play with no cut. There are two divisions, Senior (ages 55-64) and Super Senior (ages 65+). To play in the Super Senior Division, both players on a team must be at least 65 years old. Play will be from approximately 6,100 yards for the regular seniors and approximately 5,800 for the Super Senior Division.

 

Schedule of Events

Sunday, August 26 // Round 1 // Tee times start 12:00pm and run to 3:00pm
Monday, August 27 // Round 2 // Tee times start 9:00am and run to 12:00pm
 

Food and Beverage

There is a complimentary lunch provided to all players following the conclusion of the final round.

 

Golf Carts

The fee is $20 per player, must be paid for in the club's pro shop.

 

Prizes

Approximately the top-10 teams in the Senior Division and top-3 in the Super Senior Division will receive prize cards from the pro shop.

 

Practice Round

There is a practice round for $30, which includes the cart fee ( Monday through Friday, August 20 - 24 only). You must be officially entered in the tournament and call the pro shop in advance at 315-824-1432.
